About

Dr. Sherin Mahrat is an emergency physician whose work includes ultrasound education, clinical research, and global emergency care. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, where she participated in resident ultrasound instruction, intern orientation teaching, and academic ultrasound presentations through the “Consider the Probe” series. Dr. Mahrat’s research experience includes ultrasound predictors of acute chest syndrome in sickle cell disease, ecological research in vector biology, and community ecology studies. She has presented work at national and international meetings, including the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Annual Meeting and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health Conference.
