About

Dr. Chanell Davis is an emergency physician whose work focuses on medical toxicology, clinical education, and advancing equity within emergency care. She completed her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and is finishing her Emergency Medicine residency at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where she served as Chief Resident of Wellness and Recruitment. Dr. Davis is actively involved in toxicology research—including studies on urinary alkalinization in salicylate poisoning and pediatric medication insecurity—and has authored a forthcoming book chapter on synthetic cathinone poisoning for the 7th edition of Rosen & Barkin’s 5-Minute Emergency Medicine Consult.
