How do we evaluate residency applications?
Just like with our patients, at the University of Illinois – Chicago we do not use one single data point to evaluate our applicants. We evaluate all applicants in a holistic manner – this means that we don’t use filters or cut-offs, we value well-rounded applicants and take into account extra-curriculars, community service, etc..
Interview day
Hello future UIC Residents! Welcome to the University of Illinois at Chicago Emergency Medicine Residency Day- we are very excited to see you on interview day.
Due to COVID, we are determining the best layout for interview day. Please plan on interviewing with our program director, associate program directors, faculty and chief residents.
We will be hosting a pre-interview zoom meet and greet with residents the night before interviews. This event is not required but allows another opportunity to discuss the program with our residents.
