Chicago Medical Student Development Program

There is an Assistant Director of Student Development on all four training sites of the University of Illinois College of Medicine (i.e. Rockford, Urbana-Champaign, Peoria, and Chicago). Therefore, regardless of the campus to which you are assigned, you have a COM-UHP champion in your success. Although the overall expertise is the same, the duties of each Assistant Director of Student Development vary by campus based on the unique needs and opportunities of the respective campus.

On the Chicago campus, there is currently one Assistant Director (AD) of Student Development. The AD will be primarily assigned to M1 through M4 classes. The Medical Student Development Program consists of six (6) components:

  • Academic Success Programs
  • Career Development Programs
  • Mentorship Programs
  • Research & Scholarly Opportunities
  • Leadership Development
  • Community Engagement Opportunities
  • Awards and Scholarships
