COM-UHP Leadership Recognition Program
The College Medicine Urban Health Program (COM-UHP) annually sponsors the COM-UHP Leadership Recognition Program wherein students, faculty, staff and alumni are recognized for excellence in leadership and distinguished service to the community. The recipients serve as a source of pride and inspiration to others by giving unselfishly of themselves in order to enhance and make the University of Illinois College of Medicine a better place for all. The COM-UHP on each campus participates in the Leadership Recognition Program.
An individual may nominate more than one recipient, but nominators should nominate each individual for only one award. More than one individual may be nominated for the same award.
For any Nominating Award: the COM-UHP Leadership and Service Awards Committee will accept nominations from students, staff, and faculty, including self-nominations, unless otherwise stipulated in the award description.
All Nominations are due by March 11th 11:59PM. To nominate someone for a Nominating Award, click here.
Within a few days of the nomination’s submission, the nominator will receive a confirmation email. If selected, all recipients will need to submit a short biography (less than 250 words) and photo (usually within a very short timeframe) to complete the process.
Awards are presented at the respective COM-UHP Celebration of Diversity & Leadership in Medicine banquets (i.e. Urbana, Chicago, Peoria, & Rockford). Recipients must be present to accept the award (exceptionS may be made for recipients who are studying abroad or on an away rotation).
