Dr. Kaydanova is board-certified in neurology and in clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and currently serves as an associate professor here in the UIC Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation. Known as one of the national leaders in epilepsy management, Dr. Kaydanova specializes in the treatment of patients with intractable epilepsy and developmental disabilities, as well as the management of seizures during pregnancy. Some of her notable achievements have included being awarded with the University of Illinois Class Act Award for Excellence in Patient Care and the John S. Garvin Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award.
Dr. Kaydanova received her medical degree from the Academician Pavlov Medical School in St. Petersburg, Russia and after coming to the United States, spent one year carrying out clinical research at the RUSH University Epilepsy Center. She then completed both her residency and fellowship training in Epilepsy & Neurophysiology at UIC in 1997.
