Biographical Info

Dr. Brint received his medical degree from the Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel University Medical School) in Philadelphia and thereafter, completed his neurology residency training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He then went on to complete a three year fellowship in cerebrovascular disease research at Cornell Medical College (now Weil Medical School) in New York City.

 

Dr. Brint was Assistant Professor of Neurology at Rush Medical College for several years before moving to the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1990. He has served as Neurology Residency Program Director for many years and was Associate Dept. Head. Currently he is an Associate Professor and is the Section Chief of General Neurology. Within this section he currently runs the UIC Refractory Headache Clinic. He has been involved in medical education for many years. Dr. Brint’s past interests have included: experimental stroke (protection from ischemic brain insults), functional imaging of language in the deaf, and oxygen-17 MRI.
