Biographical Info

Pamela A. Meadows, M.Ed. is the Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator for the University of Illinois College of Medicine Urban Health Program.  She is responsible for recruiting students underrepresented in the field of medicine (URMs), executing pre-matriculation programs that support overall academic excellence and advising applicants on the medical school admissions process.

Ms. Meadows has been in the field of higher education for over 20 years, with experience in academic advising, recruitment, residential life, and career development at various undergraduate institutions, including the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago.  Her expertise includes coaching and advising individuals toward their professional goals, presenting interactive workshops, developing relationships into resourceful partnerships, and implementing strategies that further establish public relations.   A life-long supporter of the performing arts, Ms. Meadows has implemented a college-bound preparatory curriculum for the Merit School of Music, a non-profit community music school that provides high quality music education to Chicago-area youth, with a focus on underserved communities.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Ms. Meadows received her  Bachelor of Arts degree from Grinnell College and her Master of Education in Education Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
