Kim Zimmerman is currently the Director of the Division of Speech Pathology and Hospital Neurosciences. She works as a medical speech-language pathologist and supervisor at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. In addition to patient care activities, she provides yearly lectures to physicians, nurses and students in the area of communication and swallowing disorders. Her primary areas of interest include neurosurgical impacts on speech, language, cognition and swallowing as well as swallowing disorders related to head and neck cancer and cancer treatment.
