Dr. Gautam Malhotra is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in treatment of the upper extremity from the shoulder to fingertips. This includes procedures such as rotator cuff surgery, shoulder replacement, fractures and trauma involving the shoulder, wrist and hand as well as peripheral nerve and tendon related issues. His treatment paradigm starts with understanding his patient’s needs and demands, educating them about their problem and then jointly creating an effective, individualized treatment plan. For some patients this involves conservative measures such as therapy, injections and medications and for others this involves surgery. When surgery is required the most advanced techniques are employed including traditional open surgery, arthroscopy and microsurgery. Dr. Malhotra strives to treat all his patients with compassion and respect and help them return to work, sports and their regular activities as soon and safely as possible.
