Bonjour!
I was born and raised in a small rural village in Southern France called Grimaud. I moved to Miami with my family at the age of 15. It was definitely quite a transition for me since I did not really speak English. But Miami being a multi-cultural melting pot, the transition was smooth for me. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in biochem/neuroscience at the University of Miami. (GO CANES!!) I then completed medical school at FIU in Miami as well. I quickly fell in love with Family Medicine, as I really loved continuity of care and building relationships with patients. Family Medicine also fulfilled my passion for practicing preventive health care and serving underserved populations. I was so excited to have matched here at the UIC Family Medicine residency program, since it has such a strong commitment to serving vulnerable populations, which is what I want to do when I complete residency. I was also thrilled to find out that UIC has global health opportunities (since I love medical mission trips) and most importantly, has such a cohesive, tight knit group: from amazing residents to caring faculty!
In my free time, I love exploring Chicago: trying out new restaurants (I am a foodie and Chicago has a LOT to offer!), baking, checking out festivals, going to concerts, spending time with my family, friends, and wonderful husband Eric.
