Dr. Arshi is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and currently serves as an assistant professor in the UIC Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation. Dr. Arshi received his medical degree from Saint Louis University. He completed his internship in internal medicine at University of California, Irvine and residency in neurology at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Arshi completed a fellowship in neurocritical care at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Dr. Arshi has a strong interest in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. He has published manuscripts in several peer reviewed journals as well as contributed to book chapters.

Dr. Arshi specializes in the treatment of stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, and cerebrovascular disease in the neuroscience ICU. He has several research interests including mechanical ventilation in brain-injured patients, external ventricular drain management in neurosurgical patients, and ICU complications of brain-injured patients. In addition to his ongoing research projects, Dr. Arshi has an interest in designing novel medical technology that can improve patient outcomes.
