As a family physician, I am interested in seeing patients as a whole person, not as a case of such and such. It is important for me to know my patient first before I ask them their problems.
Walking has been my passion from my young age as I had to walk back and forth to school from home for 18 years from grammar school to medical school. I am interested in promoting walking as a part of chronic disease prevention and management, especially preventing and managing type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity and hypertension.
I enjoy seeing patients with students and residents and learn from them and share with them what I know. It is a joy to be a part of learning community at UIC. I am particularly interested in teaching outpatient surgical procedures as well as patient centered medicine.
