Biographical Info

Dr Abigail Litwiller joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2016 as the Residency Program Director. Dr. Litwiller is a physician-educator who integrates her clinical and educational training to provide excellent patient care and supervision of residents. Prior to arriving at UIC, Dr. Litwiller was at Indiana University since 2008.

Dr. Litwiller is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.  She is an active member of the Society for Academic Specialists in General OB/Gyn, the Association of Professors of Obstetrics & Gynecology (APGO), and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG).

Dr. Litwiller has received numerous teaching awards, including the ACOG Mentor of the Year Award and the Excellence in Teaching Award from APGO, as well as other teaching awards from Indiana University. In 2017, Dr. Litwiller received the UIC Faculty of the Year Award for Obstetrics & Gynecology.
