Joshua Burshtein grew up in Rockland County, NY. He completed his undergraduate degree at New York University and subsequently earned his medical degree at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he graduated with distinction in research. Prior to UIC, he completed his intern year training at Mount Sinai in Manhattan, NY. He has published clinical research for 12 years and completed a fellowship in melanoma with Dr. Darrel Rigel. Joshua's current research interests include cutaneous oncology and inflammatory diseases. In his spare time, Joshua likes to play soccer, basketball, and hockey, and spend time with his family and friends.
