Research and Teaching Interests: My major research field is development and applications of novel functional MRI (fMRI) and fast imaging techniques. My projects include data acquisition and analysis methods in simultaneous EEG and fMRI (EEG-fMRI) and perfusion fMRI based on arterial spin labeling. I have also been exploring the feasibility of a non-BOLD fMRI technique termed neuronal current MRI, which uses MRI to directly detect brain electromagnetic fields. In fast imaging, I am interested in image reconstruction of simultaneous multi-slice acquisition techniques and their clinical applications.
