The Division of Andrology

The Division of Andrology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) provides a state-of-the-art experience in male reproductive medicine. The Division offers all of the most modern andrological procedures to patients including testicular sperm extraction, male reproductive microsurgery, gamete micromanipulation, genetic evaluation, electroejaculation, erectile dysfunction evaluation and therapy, and many others.

Short Description:

The fellowship is designed to provide a foundation in male reproductive microsurgery and medicine for future faculty in academic programs. The fellow participates in all male reproductive surgical and microsurgical cases with Drs. Craig Niederberger and Lawrence Ross, and engages in the majority of clinics providing andrology-specific patient care. The fellow also has approximately 40% of time available to participate in research in Prof. Gail Prins’ andrology and reproductive science laboratory and in the University’s unique inter-college Innovation Center, where faculty from the colleges of engineering, medicine, business, and architecture, design and the arts collaborate on projects including medical device design from inception to commercialization.

Educational Requirements:

The fellowship is offered to graduates of approved urological residency programs.
