In the field of Urology, perhaps nowhere are the drive and need for interdisciplinary expertise greater than when it comes to cancer treatment. Led by  Daniel Moreira, M.D. and with the multidisciplinary collaboration at the UI Health Cancer Center, our surgeons take a holistic approach to care working with Radiologists, Oncologists, Pathologists, Radiation Oncologists, Physical Therapists and Social Workers to provide the full range of diagnostics and therapies available for cancer of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicles.

Wherever possible, we opt for minimally invasive treatments, in addition to more specialized services. But, as a preeminent academic medical department, we also employ the newest approaches found only in clinical trials. Our treatments include including traditional open as well as laparoscopic surgery, robot-assisted surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and combination therapies, as well as hybrid and clinical trial approaches.
