Plastic Surgery Residency

HOSPITALS

  • UICMC is a 450-bed hospital with a very busy Plastic Surgery Service. Emphasis during this rotation is given to general plastic surgery, reconstruction of difficult defects/wounds referred by all surgical services, craniomaxillofacial surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and body contouring surgery.
  • Mt. Sinai is a 325 bed hospital with a Level I Trauma Center. Emphasis during this rotation is given to general plastic surgery, maxillofacial trauma and hand surgery.
  • University of Chicago Hospital: A 568-bed hospital. Emphasis during this rotation is given to burn surgery and microsurgery.
  • Christ Hospital and Medical Center: A 750-bed hospital with a Level-1 Trauma Center. Emphasis during this rotation is given to general plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and office surgery. Residents participate in patient care along with private attendings in the hospital and private offices.
