Shriners Hospitals for Children — Chicago is one of the busiest hospitals in the Shriners health system. Here, children with a host of orthopaedic and neuro‐musculoskeletal conditions, spinal cord injuries, as well as cleft lip and palate are treated. Seventy percent of the hospital’s patient population is drawn from the Midwest. Approximately, 30% of admissions are from overseas and the hospital
serves a large population of children with osteogenesis imperfecta.
