My goal as Vice-Chair for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is to champion diversity in the workplace, and to raise awareness for our faculty, trainees, and staff to be mindful about inclusivity. In my role as a facilitator of events and announcements, I plan to use these opportunities to elevate awareness of the need for more diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. I feel that it is my responsibility to champion diversity and push for more representation and opportunities for women, URiMs (Underrepresented in Medicine), and marginalized segments of the community.
