The IPOSC ROP Africa Symposium

September, 3 & 4 2018

IPOSC

Childhood blindness in Africa due to ROP is an epidemic. The mission of the International Pediatric Ophthalmology Strabismus Council (IPOSC) is to work to preserve and restore eye health and enhance visual function in children, and ocular alignment and binocularity in children and adults throughout the world. With the passion and support of the members of IPOSC, along with the support of fellow professionals from around the globe, IPOSC will be gathering stakeholders from multiple medical specialties and associated organizations to include hands-on workshops aimed at ROP skills transfer in Sub-Saharan Africa. This international 2-day clinical symposium and hands-on workshop will act as a trajectory into further developing strategies and reproducible models for research, education and clinical care for ROP in Africa and globally.
