Research Interest: Investigating the role of VEGFR-2 in corneal angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis.
Ongoing Research: Current investigations include examining the role of VEGFR-2 interference with VEGFR-3 dimerizations using Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) and determining the role VEGFR-2/-3 play in the regulation of corneal angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis.
Impact: Understanding the molecular mechanisms of corneal angiogenesis/ lymphangiogenesis will provide novel therapeutic intervention in the treatment of angiogenic/ lymphangiogenic-related disorders.
