This is an unpaid fellowship.  Applicants for this unpaid research fellowship are often funded by outside granting agencies or by their home countries. Those fellows who are funded by their universities and who have positions to return to at home receive preference for these positions. Fellows are required to obtain independent funding or have personal funds to support their fellowship.
