Dr. Sarah Cappleman attended medical school followed by an OB/Gyn residency at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. Following residency she was appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.
During her residency, Dr. Cappleman completed her training in laparoscopic and robotic surgery training, and she also served as a facilitator for Centering in Pregnancy. She also won numerous awards including, Outstanding Resident Educator, Golden Apple Teaching award for medical student teaching. She was selected to attend medical outreach trip to Haiti in 2016. At the University of Florida, she was a member of the Resident Selection Committee as well as the MD-RN Communication Committee, Mother Baby Unit.
Her research interests include “Management of Ectopic Pregnancy” and “Improving RN:MD Communication to Enhance Teamwork & Patient Safety”.
