Biography

Dr. Litwiller joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2016 as the Residency Program Director. After serving in that role for three years, Dr. Litwiller was named Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education for the College of Medicine. Since then, Dr. Litwiller remains Associate Department Head of OB/Gyn, assisting faculty with items related to mentorship and promotion.

Dr. Litwiller is a physician-educator who integrates her clinical and educational training to provide excellent patient care and supervision of residents. Her clinical practice covers all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology.  Dr. Litwiller is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.  She is an active member of the Society for Academic Specialists in General OB/Gyn (SASGOG) and the Association of Professors of Obstetrics & Gynecology (APGO).

In 2017, Dr. Litwiller received the College of Medicine OBGYN Faculty of the Year Award.  In 2018 and 2019, Dr. Litwiller received the Golden Apple Teaching Award from the graduating OB/Gyn residents, and the CREOG National Faculty Award, respectively.
