Biographical Info

Dr. Christopher Janson is a physician-scientist with diverse training in neurology and the clinical neurosciences. His laboratory currently focuses on vascular factors in neurodegeneration, including the role of the physiological brain barriers.
 

Dr. Janson completed his undergraduate training at Stanford University and medical school at Yale University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Gene Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University. He received additional clinical research training at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was recipient of the NORD Roscoe Brady Fellowship and a principal co-investigator on the first NIH sponsored human gene therapy for a neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Janson completed clinical residency training in Neurology and fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Janson’s research interests include both the role of brain barrier transport in dementia and stroke and human gene therapy.
