Dr. Mena is an Associate Program Director and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics. She is a former graduate and now Director of our MedPeds Global Health Track. She has served as Chief Resident for the MedPeds and Pediatrics residency programs at UIC. Dr. Mena has interests in medical education and global health. She supervises residents in the MedPeds, Peds, and Internal Medicine resident clinics as well as on the medicine wards and newborn nursery. Dr. Mena specializes in primary care, general internal medicine, and pediatric general care.
