those young doctors in their nervous white waistcoats
scurry about in packs, dropping their tools
like they don’t know where they go
they do not eat as fast as the bleary-eyed droops
in the long tainted coats and low worn soles
they are just so noisy
with their ringing & buzzing, barking & stomping
don’t they know this is the only rest i’ve had
since i brought mom in three days ago?
