Natasha Miller MDResident – Family Medicine University of Illinois College of MedicineFamily Medicine Residency
I was born and raised in California but didn’t decide I wanted to be a doctor until post-college. I did my undergrad at UC Berkeley where I loved learning about all things public health and city planning (along with doing a study-abroad stint in Scotland just for fun!). Post-college, I moved to NYC for an Americorps job as a reproductive health doula at a Federally Qualified Health Center. During this year, I met and worked with amazing family docs who provided compassionate, full spectrum reproductive health care to patients from all backgrounds and walks of life. I was so inspired by this experience that I decided to hit the books again, and I did a pre-med post baccalaureate program while continuing to work at the same clinic as a Pap Smear Manager. After four great years in the big apple, I moved to Chicago for medical school at Loyola and am happy to be sticking around (the winters aren’t TOO bad). I’m so excited to be part of the UIC family medicine residency and look forward to what the next 3 years will bring.
For fun, you can find me biking around Chicago, hanging with my husband, pals, and my cutie nephews, baking (and eating) cookies, petting *all* the dogs and cats, and going to the movies. Also traveling and hiking!
