FMResearch.org is web site intended to serve as a resource for information related to family medicine research. The site has been developed by the Academic Family Medicine Organizations Research Subcommittee and is coordinated and maintained by the American Academy of Family Physicians and the North American Primary Care Research Group staffs.

MedLine, Medlineplus, and Internet Grateful Med/PubMed provide access to over 10 million journal article references and abstracts dating back to the 1960s.
Online medical information services and content provided by over fifty publishers and organizations. Medical journals, reference books, practice guidelines, patient education handouts, and drug information are all part of the clinical library provided by MD Consult.

American Family Physician is the official clinical journal of the American Association of Family Physicians, published 24 times per year.
The official journal of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, this site provides links to tables of contents and abstracts of the journal, going back to 1996.
The official journal of the American Medical Association. Online full-text articles are available to JAMA and Archives Journal subscribers and members of the AMA; limited full-text articles are also available to non-subscribers and non-members.
All users have access to abstracts of original articles (original clinical research) and special articles (research on health policy). NEJM subscribers have access to the complete text of the print version, online, beginning with the first issue of 1993.

The publishers of the journals Family Practice Management and American Family Physician, the AAFP also performs “The Match” between residents and residency programs, and provides access to journals, directories, newsletters, other publications of the AAFP, government statistics, and information on current legislative and governmental activity affecting family medicine and public health.
STFM’s mission is to enhance family medicine education by developing and supporting a community of educators, scholars, and clinicians. Major goals are promoting research collaboration and excellence and innovation in family medicine education, especially educational models which address needs of families and communities, emphasizing underserved populations and social consciousness of family physicians.
The ABFM is the second largest medical specialty board in the United States. Through its certification and recertification processes, ABFM promotes completion of the necessary training/experience to provide quality care to the individual and the family and a commitment to excellence throughout the physician’s years of practice.
