I grew up in Washington, D.C. with my parents and twin brother. At Oberlin College I majored in psychology, played rugby, and gained experience working with children who have developmental disabilities. I attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where I got involved in student groups and research related to LGBTQ health.
Family medicine was a perfect fit since I love caring for children, pregnant patients, older adults, and everyone in between – sometimes all in back to back visits! I wanted to come to UIC because I knew the program would give me a strong foundation in LGBTQ health and providing the best care for urban underserved communities. I feel fortunate to be training in a program that prioritizes both excellent medical care and tackling social inequalities that impact health.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, visiting museums and historic sites, seeing friends and family, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. I also hang out with my husband Grey and adorable cat Bradford.
