Phillip Yun MD

Phillip Yun, MD grew up in the Atlanta suburbs prior to attending Dartmouth College for his undergraduate degree in Economics. He returned to his home state for medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. For residency, he completed his Internal Medicine training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he discovered his passion for sports medicine. Following residency, he began his career as an attending physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he served as the Interim Medical Director of the outpatient COVID clinics. He was drawn to the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Illinois – Chicago for its extensive diagnostic and interventional ultrasound training and the wide breadth of hands-on sports coverage. Dr. Yun’s interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and sports medicine in the aging and/or medically complex population.

Ryan Robin MD

Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Ryan Robin, MD grew up in the northwest Chicago suburbs prior to attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison for his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. He returned to his home state for medical school at the University of Illinois – Peoria followed by his internship year at NorthShore University Health System in Evanston, IL. He traveled north to Rochester, Minnesota to complete residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic, where he served as Chief Resident. He started his career as an attending physician within the PM&R department at Mayo Clinic before matching into Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Illinois – Chicago, where he was drawn to the program’s hands-on Division 1 sports coverage. Dr. Robin’s interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound as an aid to diagnose athletic injuries, ultrasound guided procedures, regenerative medicine, and golf medicine.
