Resident Selected As A 2014 SEA-HVO Traveling Fellowship Recipient
April 03, 2014
Current Chief Resident Rohan Jain, MD has been selected as a recipient of the 2014 SEA-HVO Traveling Fellowship Award. The SEA-HVO Fellowship provides senior anesthesia residents the opportunity to improve anesthesia care in developing countries by teaching and mentoring their counterparts. The SEA-HVO Fellows will be challenged to learn about diseases which are rare in the United States while also learning to communicate more effectively with people from different cultures. They will be exposed to the realities and constraints of delivering health care in a resource scarce environment. Fellows will serve as teachers of anesthesia and as role models for the anesthesia students at the site.
Forty-three residents applied for the 2014 Fellowships, and Rohan was one of only nine residents selected. Congratulations, Rohan!
