Mentorship is a key component of the medical student experience at the University of Illinois. Often times mentorship happens in the classroom, at the clinic and in the research laboratories. Beyond the walls of the classroom, however, is where some of the most meaningful connections can happen.

Connecting current students with practicing physicians provide a unique opportunity of preparation that classroom learning and clinical practice cannot. We are working to develop a network of alumni mentors who are willing to give their time to medical students. In support of our goal of becoming the premier medical college in the country, these connections are going to be one of the key components that elevates the quality of the student experience.
