Welcome to the home page of the UIC College of Medicine Office of Advancement. The Office of Advancement seeks to connect alumni to the college and raise funds to support research, education and patient care initiatives. Through coordinated efforts with both the college and medical center, we strive for “access to excellence” in medical education, research and care for the entire Chicagoland area. The Office of Advancement consists of five areas, including major-gift fundraising, communications, events, stewardship and annual funds.
College of Medicine Mission
The mission of the UIC College of Medicine is to enhance the health of the citizens of Illinois through educating physicians and biomedical scientists, advancing our knowledge of health and disease, and providing healthcare in a setting of education and research.
Office Mission Statement
The UIC College of Medicine and the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago Office of Advancement’s staff work to match donor interests to institutional priorities. These priorities are based on the college’s mission. Development officers work closely with college and medical center administration and the various departments at all four medical school sites to determine specific fundraising needs. Every gift is allocated according to the wishes of the donor.
Gift funds support many special programs and include professorships, fellowships and scholarships in all academic disciplines; research efforts; and building projects.
