Born and raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio to a working-class family, I am not someone who grew up knowing that they would be a doctor. I lacked role models in the field of medicine whom I could relate to. Nonetheless, my love of science, teaching and people have ultimately led me to the rewarding work I do today.
Providing primary care to the local South Side community is one of my greatest joys. I love caring for patients of all ages and from all walks of life. It is my distinct pleasure to serve as their partner toward mental and physical wellness.
In addition to patient care, I enjoy teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians, both formally as an Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine and in my personal life. My guiding principle is that quality, culturally appropriate, equitable care is a human right. I am dedicated to seeing that vision realized.
