The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education is to assure access to and implementation of the curriculum.  We facilitate student learning through policy development informed by learner outcomes.

The Office is a resource for students and instructors as they learn and teach.  We optimize self-directed, experiential and active learning through management of 1) student and instructor interactions, 2) the delivery of content, 3) communications relevant to course content and testing, and 4) instructional environments.

We value cooperation, student service and respect, goal-oriented efficiency, open-mindedness, diversity, agility, diligence, and success.

We work through oversight, direct management, or direct service with respect to curricular needs assessment, goals and objectives, educational strategies, implementation of curriculum and policy, student assessment, program evaluation, curricular maintenance, enhancement and change.
