PREREQUISITES AND PLACEMENT IN THE CURRICULUM: Specific M3 rotations including:  Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery

PURPOSE: This elective in nephrology allows the student to choose a rotation at UICMC or JBVA for a four week period where the students will actively participate in consult rounds. In this setting, they see a variety of renal problems and learn the differential diagnosis of renal disease and the indications for dialysis.


INSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES:  Students will participate in one clinic a week at the site they are rotating at.  In addition, they will attend the Davison's weekly conferences, which include journal club, clinical conference, radiology and research conferences.
