Personal Interests and Accomplishments
In addition to his academic and research interests, Dr. Xiao's personal interests include sports (volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming, etc), reading and travelling. He used to be a volleyball team player in college and a basketball player in junior high school. He also served as the captain of his volleyball team “MIT Sabin” in Boston, MA, and won the championship two years in a row at the Chinese North American Sports Association Annual Volleyball Tournament in 2002 and 2003. In addition to Dr. Xiao's regular university activity, he also served as the Executive Vice President and Acting President of the American Chinese Medical Association from 2001 to 2004.
