Chicago is the most central and most accessible city in the country. UIC is easily accessible by car, bus and train . The University is also within driving distance of many historical neighborhoods including China Town, Little Italy and Chicago's Historic Pilsen neighborhood.

Many residents choose to live in the downtown area. UIC is conveniently located near the I-94 and the 290 expressways, so residents may also choose to live in nearby suburban communities.
