David A. Klodd, Ph.D. is a Visiting Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dr. Klodd is the immediate past chairman of the Committee on Admissions and is a member of the Mark Lepper Society of Distinguished Teachers of Rush Medical College. He has practiced as an audiologist for over 30 years with interest in otoneuro-diagnostic audiology and, more recently, cochlear and auditory brainstem implants. Dr. Klodd also teaches in the University of Florida Au.D. distance learning program and has maintained a private practice for 29 years. He serves on an advisory board of the Chicago Hearing Society, an advisory board of the Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering of Syracuse University. Most recently, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Hearing Research Foundation and he also serves on the Research Committee for that organization.

Nichole has been a clinical audiologist at the University of Illinois Medical Center since August of 2005. Her clinical interests include both pediatric and adult diagnostics, hearing aids, evoked potentials, and bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA). Before joining our team, Nichole worked as a pediatric audiologist at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri where she gained considerable experience working with children with special needs. Nichole oversees our division's NICU Infant Hearing Screening Program and is also the coordinator for the Lions of Illinois Foundation Hearing Aid Bank.

Gabrielle has been a clinical audiologist at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago since December 2005. Prior to joining the Medical Center family, Gabrielle worked for seven years at Children's Hospital in New Orleans and was a member of their Craniofacial/Cleft Lip and Palate Team. Her primary area of interest and specialty is pediatric audiology and treatment of hearing loss associated with craniofacial anomalies. Gabrielle provides services both at the University of Illinois at Chicago Craniofacial Center and the Audiology department at the Eye and Ear Infirmary. Gabrielle's clinical interests also include pediatric and adult diagnostics, central auditory processing (CAP), hearing aids, evoked potentials and bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA).

Mickie has been a clinical audiologist at the University of Illinois Medical Center since August 2006. Prior to joining the Medical Center, Mickie worked as a clinical audiologist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Rosa, California and as an educational audiologist in the Chicago Public Schools. Mickie oversees the cochlear implant program for adults and children at the Medical Center. Her clinical interests include pediatric and adult diagnostics, auditory processing disorders (APD), hearing aids, evoked potentials and cochlear implants.

Beth has been a clinical audiologist at the University of Illinois Medical Center since January 2007 and is one of two audiologists that serve as the medical center's cochlear implant specialists. Beth has previously worked as an educational audiologist for the Chicago Public Schools and as a clinical audiologist for Suburban Otolaryngology in Berwyn, Illinois. Beth's clinical interests also include pediatric and adult diagnostics, aural rehabilitation, evoked potentials and cochlear implants. Her experience as an educational audiologist helps ensure that our program continues to place a strong emphasis on meeting the developmental and educational needs of out pediatric patients.
