Gloria Elam, MD MPH has been at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 1991, and has held several positions and appointments within the department, including serving as the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, followed by serving as OB/GYN Residency Program Director.
Dr. Elam is also active on the university level, serving on the College of Medicine Executive Committee, as well as on the national level, in which she’s a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and also serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her excellence in teaching and clinical practice has been recognized with honors at both the university and national level. In 2013, Dr. Elam received the CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education, for her exemplary work in promoting excellence in resident education in obstetrics and gynecology
Dr. Elam’s clinical expertise includes abnormal vaginal bleeding, family planning, menopause, general obstetrics and gynecology, and contraception.
