Sturge-Weber Foundation Names University of Illinois Professor Jeffrey Loeb as Chief Clinical Strategist

Jeffrey A. Loeb, M.D., Ph.D. has been named the inaugural Chief Clinical Strategist for the Sturge-Weber Foundation. Read more.

Congratulations to Dr. Yevgenya Kaydanova on receiving the Illinois Department of Humans Services Epilepsy Program Award.

The Epilepsy program will provide client and family support services as needed for individuals diagnosed with epilepsy, their families, and community at large.

 

Congratulations to Dr. Fernando Testai on receiving the 2016 UI Health Physician of the year award.

Dr. Testai currently serves as the Director of Vascular Neurology here in the UIC department of Neurology & Rehabilitation and is widely recognized for his passion in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.


Congratulations to Dr. Liudmila Romanova on receiving the CCTS KL2 CATS Award.

The CCTS CATS Scholars Awards support the research efforts and career development of scientist dedicated to translational research.

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club and the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) have partnered to host Stroke Awareness Night on Saturday, May 28.

 

Congratulations to Dr. Christopher Janson for having his letter to the editor published in the New York Times!

Dr. Christopher Janson recently had his letter to the editor published in The New York Times. His letter was in response to a May 1 article on Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Janson states that more research spending is needed – in the billions of dollars – to discover therapies to treat or prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Read more here.
