The Department of Family Medicine of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) provides high quality, comprehensive health care for women and men of all ages, infants through adulthood. All our family physicians are board-certified and are active members of the faculty of the UIC College of Medicine. They are dedicated to the advancement of medical knowledge through education and research in addition to superior service to their patients.

Since we are a training center for medical and nurse-practitioner students, at times you may be asked to allow a supervised student to participate in your medical care. In addition, we operate a residency training program in our Family Medicine Center. Residents are licensed physicians training to be specialists in Family Medicine. They see their own patients under faculty supervision in our offices for the three years of their graduate training. When you work with these trainees, you have the advantage of two medical minds contributing to your care as well as the satisfaction of knowing that you have added to the education of future health care professionals.
