Simon Ho, M.D. Joins Anesthesiology Staff

Dr. Simon Ho has joined our staff. Simon is a graduate of the UIC Medical School. He did his anesthesiology residency at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. After completing a pain fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, he worked on staff at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Welcome, Simon!
Announcing 2008-2009 Fellows, Here And Elsewhere

Our 2008-2009 fellows include Archana Apte, MD, Andrei Rakic, MD, and Nabil Sibai, MD in Pain Medicine, Ben Changyaleket, MD and Sarah Oswald, MD in Pediatric Anesthesia, and Vijay Krishnamoorthy, MD in Cardiac Anesthesia. All are graduates of our residency. Neda Moaddeli, MD, a graduate of the Rush University anesthesiology program, is our new Regional Anesthesia fellow. Congratulations and welcome to all of them.
Additionally, some of our residents have secured fellowships at outside institutions for the current and coming academic year. Scott Harter, MD, a 2008 graduate of our program, is now an Obstetric Anesthesia fellow at Stanford University in California. For the 2009-2010 academic year, current Chief Resident Sebastian Ruehlmann, MD has secured an Obstetric Anesthesia fellowship at Stanford University, and Chief Resident Charles Nyman, MD will be a Cardiothoracic Anesthesia fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Congratulations to each of them.
Ramona Nicolau, M.D. Joins Anesthesiology Staff

Dr. Ramona Nicolau recently joined our Anesthesiology staff. Prior to coming to UIC, Ramona brought 11 years of experience in anesthesiology and intensive care in Romania to the University of Pittsburgh. She completed an anesthesiology residency, a cardiac anesthesia fellowship, and a fellowship in anesthesia for liver transplantation while in Pittsburgh. Welcome, Ramona!
