The Department of Urology strives to develop innovative ways to advance the diagnosis and treatment of urologic diseases and educate the next generation of leaders in the field. We are leading the way by addressing every aspect of our mission: patient care; education; discovery and innovation; public health; and teaching.
What sets UI Urology apart, and will continue to do so as we continue at a rapid pace along all these aspects of our mission, is our interest in envisioning the future. And we have well defined, tangible ways of getting there. That’s driving so much of what we’re doing and builds on a fabulous culture that attracts so many to want to be a part of our department.
If you are a medical student, please visit ourEducationandResidencypages to learn more about our program.
Visiting Students – UIC will follow the recommendations of the Association of American Medical Colleges concerning the hosting of US and international students. UIC will not host visiting students before November 1, 2020. Further updates will be posted on the College of MedicineVisiting Student page.
Dr. Ross and Dr. Prins Honored by the AUA
This year Dr. Gail Prins and Dr. Lawrence Ross were honored by the AUA for their outstanding contributions to Urology. Although we weren’t able to gather to applaud them in person, we are pleased to highlight their accomplishments in the latest Urology newsletter. Congratulations Dr. Ross and Dr. Prins for the well-deserved recognition. In the newsletter, we also welcome our new residents and fellows, and the graduating residents take a look back at their years with UIC.
