The UIC Eye and Ear Infirmary is fully equipped with a voice and speech laboratory. Our department is also home to a Dizziness Center. What is unique about our Dizziness Center is the Torok Vestibular Laboratory and the availability of consultants from related disciplines, which include neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, ophthalmology, neuroophthalmology, vestibular neurocognition, internal medicine and pharmacy.

The Torok Vestibular Laboratory uses cutting edge diagnostic techniques, many of which were developed at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The audiology team, under the direction of David Klodd, PhD is an integral part of the Otolaryngology department  and is housed in the Eye and Ear Infirmary.  Similarly, the speech pathology team also works closely with the Otolaryngology Department serving patients with voice and swallowing disorders.

Clinic rooms are equipped with endoscopes, microscopes, video stroboscopy. The operating room is also equipped with the Instatrak system, the latest technology in image-guided endoscopic surgical equipment.

The dedicated Resident Room at the EEI contains computers with access to patient images, Internet access, Scanners, a color printer, and a flat screen TV.
