Dr. Goodwin joined the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1985 as Director of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service, a position he held until 2011. He is a consulting neurologist at Jesse Brown Veterans Administration Medical Center and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He has been involved in several major multi-center clinical trials including the Optic Nerve Treatment Trial and the Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Decompression Trial. Dr. Goodwin is board certified in neurology.
