The Illinois Center for Drug and Diagnostic Development (ICOD3) is an initiative of the UI COM Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences focused on accelerating the clinical translation and commercialization of promising technologies.

ICOD3 brings together faculty expertise in all aspects of clinical ophthalmology, basic and translational science with University and external advisors that have experience in intellectual property, entrepreneurship, pre-clinical and clinical stage development.

ICOD3 provides resources for faculty investigators to obtain non-dilutive funding, provide guidance in start-up company formation, development of presentations and grant proposals related to translational activities.
